A national caliber small equine auction will take place Saturday, September 29 at the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center in Sulphur Springs, TX. The event, which begins at 11 a.m. sale day, will offer at auction nearly 100 high-quality Miniature Horses, American Shetland Ponies and other pony or small equine breeds.
Offerings at the sale come from some of the best breeders and show stables in the south and Midwest. Many top bloodlines will be included. Some consignments represent excellent opportunities for breeders to add quality breeding stock or enhance their breeding problems. Other ponies or Miniatures being sold are trained and ready for the show ring. Additionally, a limited number of small equine available through the North Texas Sale are suitable for kids’ ponies or for physically or mentally challenged individuals.
“This is an established sale that many Hall of Fame, national and Congress champions and top tens, and a Performance Pony of the Year have been purchased through,” noted Tina Porter, one of the sale’s sponsors.
The first North Texas Pony Sale was held in 2002. Since that time, eight sales have been held, all offering quality consignments, to great success. Breeders and show stables look forward to this sale both as buyers and sellers. Porter noted that many individuals have been able to obtain outstanding stock through the North Texas sale. The sponsors hope this sale continues to offer great options for buyers and sellers alike and encourage anyone interested in buying top-notch small equine to attend.
